Seat Time: The state requires that all students spend a minimum amount of seat time engaged in the course content. Our online course delivery system manages this requirement for you.

Reporting: The state does not require schools to report CE hours.

Expiration Date of Course: Course expiration dates vary by course but are generally one year after order date. Each course has an individual expiration date which is listed in your account.

Final Exams: Final exams must be passed with at least a 75% and may be taken as many times as necessary in order to pass.

Certificates: Upon completion of the course, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies. Please refer to your license renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate of Completion with your license renewal request. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date of your Certificate of Completion will reflect this.

In addition, real estate Brokers, Principal Brokers and Property Managers must keep their own records of Continuing Education. All certificates of attendance and a completed Continuing Education Record form must be kept by the licensee for three years after the license renewal date for which the Continuing Education hours were used.

License Renewal Process: The process to renew in this state is to log in to the licensing system online and follow the prompts to renew. http://www.oregon.gov/rea/licensing/Documents/Active_Renewal_Tutorial.pdf

Post-Licensing: Brokers renewing active for the first time must:

  • Complete the 27-hour Broker Advanced Practices (BAP) course and the 3-hour LARRC course.

Property Managers renewing active for the first time must:

  • Complete the 27-hour Property Management Advanced Practices (PMAP) course and the 3-hour LARRC course.

Important note to Principal Brokers: If you renew an active license for the first time, or reactivate a license after an inactive first renewal, on or after July 1, 2019, you must take an Agency approved 27-hour Principal Broker Advanced Practices (PBAP) course and the 3-hour LARRC before you renew or reactivate.

Please contact the Oregon Real Estate Agency for more information regarding these courses. The CE Shop does not offer the Property Manager Post-Licensing course at this time.
